Joon Moon's Augmented shadow project produces an artificial
shadow effect through the movement of blocks on a table
interface.
In accordance with the physics of the real world, shadows
are displayed below the blocks. By moving the blocks around,
however, the shadows are transformed into houses and trees.
‘The unexpected experience results from manipulating the user’s
visual perceptions, expectations and imagination,’ explains
Moon. ‘In this way users play with the shadows lying on
the boundary between the ‘real, virtual and fantasy.’
